The Electrical System Engineer is responsible for the health and status of the radar as well as running the radar missions.
Responsibilities- Reduce and analyze the data collected from Digital Simulation (DIGISIM), Analog Simulation (ANASIM), diagnostic tests, and live operations and perform the quick look analysis for system tests.
- Provide the systems engineering support necessary to complete the installation, test, and evaluation of the SDPE software delivered into the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system and future software builds.
- Perform other related tasking and support the X Department Head. Has ability and willingness to support 24/7 operations and is flexible with related work assignments.
- Develop analysis tools to perform the verification of regression test of the software and documenting results. Ensuring that the test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware.
- Maintain active government issued Secret Security Clearance and US passport. Must also successfully pass an annual mariner physical examination.
- Typically requires BS/BA in STEM discipline and five years relevant experience. Additional work experience may be substituted in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Documented proficiency with hardware and software, radar theory, and test equipment.
- Experience running engineering tests to troubleshoot radar system anomalies (e.g. Signal and Data Possessor Equipment (SDPE), Antenna etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with UNIX (Sun Solaris, HP‑UX) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with MATLAB and/or Simulink programming languages for data reduction tools and other software used to perform data analysis of the radar.
- ACAS and HBSS administration and maintenance experience.
- Familiarity with DoD DIACAP and/or RMF cyber‑security risk management.
- Experience in supporting engineering efforts concerned with the testing and evaluation of newly fielded and/or prototype systems.
- Computer operations and maintenance experience in support of phased‑array radar systems.
- Software environments using Matlab, Apex, STK, and Oracle.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
