Senior Logistics Specialist
The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Long Range Radars department is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to work onsite in Woburn, MA. Life Cycle Engineering is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines:
Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability. As the Senior Logistics Specialist, you'll be assigned to the AN/TPY-2 FMS programs and will be responsible for providing meaningful logistics support to the AN/TPY-2 program Hardware and Software Cross Product and Integrated Product Leadership teams. You'll be working with a cross-functional team supporting sustainment contracts on sensor systems to ensure material needed at tactical sites are tracked, ordered, and shipped to their end destinations, and prioritize requisitions based on maintenance and customer needs.
In this role you'll execute in a highly dynamic environment as each requisition needs to be individually tracked. You'll coordinate and collaborate with tactical site teams, project leaders, program managers, and cross functional areas including operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure the most current data is available for reporting.
What You Will Do
- Supporting the Integrated Product Team Lead in directing asset procurement and shipping activities and providing logistical oversight of cross functional areas. Tracking assets as they proceed through the requisition and fulfillment process. Preparing correspondence/reports for internal and external collaboration.
- Partnering in the development of long-term inventory management strategies in concurrence with technical requirements and customer needs. Assessing shipment and procurement lead time trends. Calibration due date and shelf-life expiration date tracking. Recommending improvements to increase process efficiency and decrease material lead times.
- Develop and present reports on status, risks, and mitigations of logistics topics to international site team members, program management, or customers. Investigate inventory or shipping discrepancies. Help supply chain to investigate material availability problems.
- Tracking, managing, and reporting status and budget, and participating in estimate at complete (EAC) reviews. Providing data for monthly contract deliverables, participating in program reviews, and other program management or customer meetings.
- Participating in contract proposals and developing labor basis of estimates (BOEs). Contributing to risk and opportunity management.
- Mentoring and developing team members.
Qualifications You Must Have
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
- Experience with logistics support, material supply chain, depot warehouse facilities, and/or related processes or manufacturing.
