Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in the inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, etc
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving and arranging furniture
• Conduct minor building, HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs
• Assist with the daily cleaning of the facilities, including sweeping, mopping and trash removal
• Help with landscape maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming hedges and shoveling snow
• Follow all health and safety regulations and practices on every job
• Maintain inventory of repair supplies and materials
• Communicate with supervisors about unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or supplies needed
