Position Overview
We are seeking a self-driven and motivated Regional Staffing Manager to oversee staffing operations across multiple nursing homes in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This role is pivotal in ensuring that facilities are staffed effectively and within budget, while building strong relationships with staffing coordinators and administrators. The Regional Staffing Manager will focus on minimizing overtime costs, reducing the reliance on staffing bonuses, and driving consistency in scheduling practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with facility Staffing Coordinators and Administrators to ensure scheduling aligns with budgeted staffing levels.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to Staffing Coordinators to strengthen scheduling practices and operational efficiency.
- Monitor staffing patterns, identify challenges, and implement proactive strategies to minimize overtime and agency use.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership to foster collaboration and accountability.
- Visit nursing homes across Rhode Island and Massachusetts to provide on-site support, coaching, and oversight.
- Track and analyze labor reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment Department to ensure consistent hiring practices and support facilities in filling open positions.
- Work with corporate leadership to ensure alignment with overall labor management goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, or labor management is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
- Comfortable with daily travel to facilities within Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret staffing data and recommend cost-saving strategies.
