PositionSummary
Reporting to the Production Manager and Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department’s productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate II is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high‑quality products. This diverse and exciting role cross trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business.
You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross‑functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN environment.
- Verify needed raw materials, tools, and equipment to perform machine operations and/or assembly work. Use calipers, verniers and other measuring devices to perform and evaluate work.
- Read work orders and blueprints to perform multiple machine setups and skilled operations to prepare, process, and inspect parts for optimal quality and output.
- Setup and operate injection molding equipment.
- Setup, program, and operate CNC/gantry dispensing systems.
- Perform elevated machine maintenance, tooling changes, and cleaning after completing work.
- Complete daily documentation and reporting metrics accurately and on time as outlined.
- Package more complex products and materials appropriately for other areas to bring workflow to completion.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and communicate between departments and notify leaders and engineers of issues as needed.
- Work cross functionally in designated areas to support business needs such as extrusion, molding (all types), trimming, splicing, and hazardous chemical mixing, and material handling as needed.
- Support company LEAN and High‑Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture by assisting with training and filling out team improvement board information and/or Star points.
- Sustain Safety and 5S program, use appropriate PPE for designated area, which can include painting/clean room environments, hazardous chemical mixing, and material handling.
- U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience required or demonstrated competency.
- Good manual dexterity and hand‑to‑eye coordination are required.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs (Bill of Material), Routings, and blueprints preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
- Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours, and lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working daily with hazardous chemicals.
- Preferred experience in injection molding and/or CNC operation.
