Position Summary

The CMM Technician II will interact with team members to ensure compliance and internal and external customer requirements are met, with focus on CMM programming. This will be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit CMM programs.
  • Work closely with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and others for the practical use of CMM inspection programs for new products as well as improve existing programs.
  • Work with customers, management, manufacturing engineers and quality engineers on a daily basis to resolve quality issues.
  • Assist with GR&R / MSA studies.
Credentials & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ experience in CMM programming.
Additional

Preferred Qualifications
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in quality within medical device manufacturing industry preferred.
  • ISO 13485, FDA 820 and customer interaction experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.
  • Technical skills:
    Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
  • Mechanical understanding:
    Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Blueprint reading:
    Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Measurement skills:
    Familiarity with various measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
  • Computer proficiency:
    Basic computer skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Problem-solving:
    Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions to complex measurement challenges.
  • Attention to detail:
    High level of precision and accuracy required in measurements.
  • Regulations: FDA, GMP and ISO.
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements

The employee could frequently be required to walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee could occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job could include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
