Machine Operator - Urgent Need

Location:

Woburn, MA Duration: 4 Months Contract Start Time: 6:00 AM End Time: 2:30 PM Total Hours/week: 40.00

Summary of Position with

General Responsibilities:

• Perform duties associated with the manufacturing process (clean room and finished goods manufacturing).

• Listed below are the essential job functions for the primary responsibilities that a Packaging Operator I working on the Avitene product line will perform, however, at any time manufacturing demands may require the Operator to work on a different product line which would require him/her to perform any or all of the listed additional job functions.
• Operate sealers, drying ovens, and test equipment used in the Avitene cleanroom.
• Operate label maker machine(s), load sterilizer racks.
• Assemble, inspect, and package devices per relevant operating procedures.
• Know and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory/procedural requirements at all times.
• Complete all relevant Device History Records (DHR) as required, complying with Quality System requirements.
• Vacuum, clean and sanitize rooms and equipment as required.
• Train others on work instructions when required.
• Perform duties in controlled environments as required.
• Maintain a good attendance and on-time record as outlined in the Attendance Guidelines for our facility.
• The ability to work overtime.

• Operate the Pack-West and Kalix equipment as required.
• Assist in the implementation of lean thinking programs throughout manufacturing.
• The ability to work overtime.

• Perform other related duties as required.

• Must be able to comprehend work instructions written in English.
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literacy is required (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education and/or

Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 or more years of experience working in a medical device/electronics assembly/packaging environment.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to sit, stand, move, twist and bend to operate, move and clean equipment and clean room(s).

• Clean Room or Manufacturing floor.
