PositionSummary
Reporting to the Production Manager, this individual has a keen understanding of working with chemicals where they will mix, dispense, and label batches according to specifications. If you like attention to detail and safety, this is a great role with visibility to the organization. Some of the day‑to‑day functions include weighing up, mixing, dispensing, packaging, and labeling of compound materials. In this position, your shift will be from 6:00AM–2:30PM.
Responsibilities- Read work orders and Batch cards to determine production specifications and information.
- Precision weigh up of powders, solvents, liquids, gums, rubbers, paint, and other conductive chemicals.
- Sift, package, and label powders to bring workflow to completion for other departments.
- Perform mixing operation to batch card requirements.
- Dispense material into proper containers.
- Print, label, and package required product and complete basic packaging.
- Run extruder and compression molding machines to create quality control samples for batch testing.
- Record production information using Day by Hour.
- Perform quality checks as needed to maintain a clean and safe work area; sustain Safety and 5S program.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- US Citizenship or Permanent US Resident Status required.
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of Manufacturing experience or batch making required.
- Must have knowledge of weights and be able to use a scale as well as math skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced department and be able to multi‑task.
- Effective communication skills; written as well as verbal.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic English required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Competitive CompensationPay Range: $20.5/hr to $33.5/hr participation in Annual Incentive Program.
