Job Summary

The Electrical System Engineer will support the health and status of the radar systems aboard an ocean‑going marine vessel. The role involves analyzing data from digital and analog simulations, diagnostics, and live operations; performing quick‑look analysis for system tests; providing systems engineering support for SDPE software; developing analysis tools for regression testing; and ensuring all testing and evaluation processes follow established procedures.

The engineer must maintain an active Secret Security Clearance and a U.S. passport, be able to support 24/7 operations, and pass an annual mariner physical examination.

Responsibilities
  • Reduce and analyze data collected from Digital Simulation (DIGISIM), Analog Simulation (ANASIM), diagnostic tests, and live operations.
  • Provide systems engineering support for the installation, test, and evaluation of SDPE software on the Ground‑Based Midcourse Defense system.
  • Develop verification and regression test tools and document test results.
  • Ensure testing and evaluation procedures are conducted according to established software and hardware policies.
  • Support the X  Department Head and other related tasking.
  • Operate flexibly with 24/7 duty requirements and multiple week rotations.
Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA in STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of relevant experience in radar systems, hardware/software, and test equipment.
  • Proficiency with Unix (Sun Solaris, HP‑UX) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience with MATLAB and/or Simulink for data reduction and analysis.
  • Documented experience troubleshooting radar system anomalies (e.g., SDPE, antenna).
  • Active Secret Security Clearance and U.S. passport required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACAS and HBSS administration and maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD DIACAP and/or RMF cyber‑security risk management.
  • Experience supporting engineering efforts for fielded or prototype systems.
  • Computer operations and maintenance experience in phased‑array radar systems.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Apex, STK, and Oracle.

Compensation ranges from 86,800 USD to 165,200 USD.
