CNC Process Engineer Manager Responsibilities- CNC machining processes for new and existing components will be developed using up to 5-axis milling, Swiss, and mill-turn equipment.
- Quoting, work holding, tooling selection, secondary operations, and production methods will be established.
- CNC programs will be created, implemented, and troubleshot using Mastercam, Part Maker, or comparable programming software.
- Product and equipment specifications will be analyzed to determine the most effective manufacturing method.
- Existing production processes will be evaluated and improved in partnership with machinists and manufacturing personnel.
- New product development and mechanical or electromechanical assembly projects will be supported as required.
- Tooling and equipment concepts will be evaluated based on technical feasibility, cost, and production timelines.
- Manufacturing techniques, material properties, process capabilities, and production limitations will be communicated to internal teams.
- Inspection personnel will be supported in achieving dimensional and quality requirements.
- Technical expertise will be provided to the Sales Team during quoting, new-business development, and service implementation.
- Engineering personnel will be managed, supported, and provided with technical direction.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline will be preferred.
- An associate degree in Manufacturing Technology combined with at least five years of machine-shop process engineering experience will be considered.
- Candidates without a qualifying degree will be considered when at least 10 years of machine-shop process engineering or CNC programming experience has been demonstrated.
- Experience processing parts on 5-axis CNC mills, Swiss machines, and mill-turn equipment will be required.
- Proficiency with Mastercam, Part Maker, and Solid Works will be highly valued.
- Independent problem-solving, technical leadership, and cross-functional communication skills will be demonstrated.
