Outpatient Nurse, RN - Uro/Gyn & MIGS Clinic
Location:
Woburn, MA
Hours:
40 hours per week, 8:00 a‑m to 4:30 p‑m. Preferred: at least 1 year of ambulatory experience in Urogyn/Urology, Gyn, or surgery.
Job Overview
The position utilizes innovative and flexible solutions, program planning, and best practices with an emphasis on standardization and high reliability to establish an environment that fosters teamwork, role competence, and proficiency in the satellite clinical setting. This role works closely with leadership and a broad spectrum of healthcare providers and administrative personnel to ensure optimal patient care in the satellite clinical setting.
It is housed off‑site in an affiliated organizational setting with the potential to flex on‑site as needed to meet patient care needs. This position works in close liaison with the Health Care Team to ensure patient care is coordinated, comprehensive, and care transitions are seamless. The nurse practices within their scope, actively develops, coordinates, oversees, and administers care to patients in accordance with the framework of a team‑based patient‑centered model of care.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). An associate’s degree is considered with review by the Nurse Executive Council.Registered Nurse (RN) license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Preferred Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities
Provides leadership within nursing by providing direction and priority setting in regards to patient care.Develops and maintains collaborative relationships between all members of the Health Care Team, including administrative, clinical, research, and inpatient partners, to produce high‑performing, patient‑focused teamwork.Acts as a resource for all staff regarding education, planning, relocation, and development of evidence‑based, best‑practice clinical programs pertaining to the specialty or primary care patient population.Mentors and actively participates in overseeing all clinical support staffing in the ambulatory clinical setting; delegates responsibilities appropriately and within scope.Participates in coordinating any transition of patient care from the satellite setting to another in collaboration with and maintaining open communication with a wide range of interdisciplinary team members to achieve an exceptional patient experience.Identifies high‑risk patients and works with appropriate services and interdisciplinary team members to achieve the best possible patient care and outcomes.Promotes shared decision‑making with patients regarding healthcare; educates the patient and/or family regarding the patient’s clinical condition, treatment, and their role in their healthcare decisions.Utilizes a variety of telecommunications technologies to assess, triage, provide nursing consultation, and perform follow‑up and surveillance of patient status and outcomes.Collaborates and actively engages with the care team and practice leadership to identify opportunities and solutions to improve quality, patient access, and cost savings.Demonstrates compliance with regulatory requirements such as MIPS, fall assessment.Participates in satellite quality and safety initiatives as indicated.Physical Requirements
Location is off‑site in an affiliated satellite location.Frequent travel may be required from satellite clinic to main hospital.Ability to oversee multiple issues/situations simultaneously with emphasis on safety.Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients and equipment.Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, sick patients, bodily substances, noise, and possible exposure to radiation, lasers, electric shock.Regular exposure to the risk of blood‑borne diseases and other transmissible infections.Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances.Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.Handle emergency and crisis situations.Subjected to irregular hours.May have contact with hazardous materials.Skills & Abilities
