CMM Inspector
Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and quality assurance industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join their team. As a CMM Inspector, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting production and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Location:
Woburn, MA
Pay Range: $26 to $30 upon Experience
Shift: Monday through Friday, 2nd Shift
What's the Job?
- Visually and mechanically inspect a wide variety of mechanical and electrical products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Program and upgrade Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment, collaborating with QA engineering on inspection system projects such as automating data collection and implementing SPC and gage R&R.
- Perform complex inspections on parts, subassemblies, and assemblies, including first piece validation of CNC-generated parts.
- Devise and set up measurement methods for new or unusual parts, including making adaptations to inspection equipment or fixtures.
- Maintain calibration records and perform functional and dimensional inspections of precision measuring instruments, tools, and gauges.
What's Needed?
- Hold a professionally recognized mechanical inspector certification.
- Experience programming and working with CMM equipment, including software upgrades.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, assembly prints, and specifications.
- Ability to perform setups, calibrations, adjustments, and repairs of complex instruments and gauges.
- Excellent documentation skills, including preparing reports, summary sheets, and data analysis.
