The Role:
Impact & Responsibilities You will be a core contributor to our preclinical team, characterizing MAP performance through in vivo and ex vivo assays. This will involve:
• Preclinical Study Execution:
Assist in PK and safety studies using rodent and swine models, including animal model development and IND-enabling safety/efficacy studies.
• Device & Tissue Characterization:
Execute ex vivo skin deployment assays to ensure structural integrity and delivery efficiency.
• Logistics & Processing:
Manage the end-to-end flow of test articles, vivarium logistics, tissue harvest, and downstream sample processing.
• Data-Driven Insights:
Analyze performance via visual inspection, skin penetration analysis, and dose delivery metrics to steer platform development.
•
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Communicate logistical needs and present technical findings in interdisciplinary team meetings to help steer the platform.
• Regulatory Support:
Maintain high-standard ELN entries and contribute to protocols and report writing for regulatory filings. Qualifications
•
Education:
BS in Bioengineering, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology or related field with 0-2+ years of experience
• Preclinical
Skills:
In vivo experience is required.
Experience with pharmacokinetic (PK) endpoints is a plus.
• Technical Core:
Proficiency in animal handling is required. Large animal experience is a plus.
• Specialized
Experience:
We highly value candidates with hands-on experience in ex vivo tissue handling and in vivo study management.
• Communication:
Excellent verbal and written skills with a commitment to working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Operational Excellence:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to travel between local vivarium sites in the Greater Boston area as required. Why Join Us Now?
