Physics Theorist

You will formalize and model the governing physics that set the process control parameters for our platform. You will derive analytical and reduced-order models, guide experiment and simulation with theory, and turn physical understanding into control strategy. You will work directly with the founding team on a novel engineering problem.

• PhD or Master's in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant engineering field, or equivalent research experience.
• Strong analytical modeling: PDEs, continuum mechanics, transport, and dynamics.
• Excellent physics and mathematics foundation.
• Track record connecting theory to experiment and simulation.

• Reduced-order and control-oriented modeling.
• Experience translating physical theory into process control parameters.

• Y Combinator and NSF-backed startup.
• Stock options or equity.
• Direct collaboration with the founding team on a process with no direct commercial equivalent.
