Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Building Maintenance

The position is responsible for providing quality carpet & upholstery cleaning, hard floors restoration, and water extraction services to commercial clients. Additional accountabilities include ensuring all actions are completed in a safe manner; following instructions on work orders; working as a team; maintaining a consistent flow of communication with team; driving company vehicles; and taking before and after pictures. This is a night position working from approximately 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Additional duties may be assigned.

• Fosters a consistent flow of communication with clients, technicians, and management
• Ensures all work is completed per work order instructions and ensures work orders are then completed with all proper time and notes captured
• Ensures all scheduled jobs come in at budgeted scheduled hours or better
• Maintains the ability to take pro‑active and creative approaches in resolving any challenges
• Understands/accurately performs all cleaning (restorative/maintenance) methods for carpet, furniture and wall panels, to include upholstery, fabric, and leather
• Understands and accurately performs cleaning (restorative and maintenance) methods for hard surfaces including but not limited to ceramic, porcelain and stone
• Understands and accurately performs water damage restoration
• Completes work order paperwork, before/after pictures after each job and notifies supervisor of any special circumstances.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work area including the use of caution signs and barriers
• Be able to drive company vehicles to and from client locations
• Responsible for care and cleanliness of cleaning equipment and vehicles
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform
• Pursue obtaining IICRC certifications in commercial carpet, upholstery, water restoration and ceramic tile
• Follow rules, policies, regulations as outlined in company handbook
• Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
• Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand and walk, frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, frequently lift and or up to 50 pounds.
• Communicate issues, concerns and questions to supervisor

• Effectively accomplish assigned work orders and efficiently coordinate resources to address needs
• Timely and effective response to team needs
• Ensure consistent, accurate communication and alignment of efforts within the team
• Obtain IICRC Carpet, Upholstery, Water Restoration and Hard Floors Certifications
• Adherence to all policies and procedures

• High School Diploma or GED required
• IICRC Certifications desired but not mandatory

• 1 year experience and or training desired but not mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team
• Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new skills
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite desired; photo taking skills a plus
• Professional personal presentation
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations required
• Valid driver license required
• Ability to handle changing priorities and achieve desired objectives required
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the company and clients
• Ability to maintain poise, tact and diplomacy required
• Ability to work nights and weekends and adjust scheduled to meet business needs

The position is responsible for providing quality carpet & upholstery cleaning, hard floors restoration, and water extraction services to commercial clients. This is a night position that requires you to also work weekends.
