Field Service Technician – Material Handling Equipment

Woburn, MA (surrounding area)

Hourly pay: $23–$36 per hour

In addition, this role provides a company‑issued service vehicle and extensive technical training.

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery‑powered lift trucks and other automated material handling equipment such as warehouse storage systems, conveyors, and carousels.
• Work directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges.
• Apply and grow mechanical and technical skills through continuous training.
• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company‑provided tablet.
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service.

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost‑effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus).
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships through excellent customer service.
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
