The Shop Carpenter is responsible for producing high-quality custom woodwork and exhibit components that support trade show and client projects. This role combines skilled craftsmanship, blueprint interpretation, and the use of woodworking equipment to build custom millwork, cabinetry, displays, and related structures. The position plays a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to specification, meet quality standards, and are delivered on schedule, while supporting installation activities and maintaining a safe and efficient shop environment.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install high-end millwork, cabinetry, showcases, and custom woodwork according to project specifications.
- Read, interpret, and execute work from blueprints, shop drawings, and technical plans.
- Perform precision miter folding, joinery, and finishing techniques to ensure superior craftsmanship.
- Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot fabrication and assembly challenges and recommend effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.
- Collaborate with production, installation, and project teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required to meet production schedules and customer needs.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to craftsmanship while maintaining high quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Required
- Hands‑on experience in high‑end millwork, cabinetry, showcases, miter folding, and precision joinery.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on business and customer needs.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain productivity in a fast‑paced environment.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team‑oriented approach.
- Experience operating CNC machinery and related manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of woodworking manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.
- Experience working with custom architectural millwork or luxury retail fixtures.
