Robotics Technician

We are seeking a hands-on Robotics Technician for a full-time, on-site temp-to-hire opportunity in Woburn, MA. This role is about troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and working directly with complex robotic automation and electromechanical systems.

This position supports advanced automation systems in an automotive technology environment and offers the opportunity to work with experienced technicians, proprietary equipment, and software-based control systems.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, service, and troubleshooting on complex electromechanical robotic systems.
• Diagnose and repair technical issues using hand tools, test equipment, diagnostic applications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with assembling, building, maintaining, and supporting operational components for customer equipment.
• Use software-based control systems and command-line interfaces to monitor system health, performance, and uptime.
• Support local transport of parts or equipment between work locations as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and maintenance best practices to support reliable system operation.

• Perform preventive maintenance and service on robotic automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical equipment using hands-on tools and diagnostic software.
• Monitor equipment health, uptime, and system performance using software-based controls and command-line tools.
• Assist with assembly, maintenance, and operational support of customer equipment.
• Associate degree, vocational school certification, or 4-year apprenticeship equivalent in Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting or diagnostic experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting ability.
• General computer literacy with the ability to work with diagnostic applications and technical systems.
• Valid driver's license required for local travel between work locations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and push, pull, or lift equipment using carts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 400 lbs with wheeled equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, safety awareness, and ability to work effectively as part of a technical team.

• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience with software-based control systems.
• Exposure to PLCs or industrial automation controls.
• Previous experience supporting robotics, automation, automotive technology, or complex electromechanical systems.
• Auto technician experience with strong diagnostic and hands-on repair skills.
