About the Team

STR’s Analytics and C2 Division researches and develops novel technologies to solve challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our team consists of passionate and motivated engineers and scientists with advanced degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We take innovative ideas from conception to mature implementation to improve mission success for our customers.

As a Senior Software Engineer at STR, you will help develop disruptive technologies focused on estimation theory, prediction, and system resource management. You will design and implement flexible software solutions and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary project teams, providing high‑impact, unique solutions for our customers’ most important problems. The position is based primarily in the Woburn, MA office, requiring onsite presence.

• Active Top Secret Clearance Required with SCI eligibility, for which U.S. citizenship is required
• BS + 5 years, MS + 3 years, PhD, or equivalent experience in computer science or related field
• Proficient at writing maintainable, well‑documented code and APIs
• Able to work and collaborate on multi‑disciplinary teams
• Experience using Linux
• Expertise in C++, Python, and Java
• Experience with container‑based software such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience in intelligence or military‑related mission areas
• Experience with micro‑service architecture and Dev Ops pipelines

Full‑time Salary Range: $139,000 - $165,000.

The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors such as, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
