Job Summary
Principle Dev Ops Tools Engineer within the Digital Technology organization. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting Dev Ops solutions that enable engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions rapidly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Leverage company best practices to assist programs with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of Dev Sec Ops software solutions.
- Support software tool customization and automation, including development of templates, dashboards, and scripts to meet program needs.
- Assist engineering teams with building, testing, and pipeline automation, optimizing performance and scalability across cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Maximize solution performance and reliability through proactive, automated testing and issue mitigation while minimizing impacts from system patching and upgrades.
- Develop and validate fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans for tool infrastructure to ensure system reliability and continuity.
- Administer and maintain the security and compliance of tooling solutions, including hardening, patching, and version upgrades.
- Document implemented Dev Ops environments by authoring procedures, work instructions, and program profile documents.
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- System administration experience on Linux‑based systems.
- Experience installing and supporting server‑based Dev Ops tools such as Jira, Git, Bit Bucket, Git Lab, Confluence, Coverity, Jenkins, IBM Rational products, and Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server.
- Experience working in development teams using Agile concepts and methodologies.
- U.S. citizenship required and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Security Clearance (Secret level).
- Active and current Secret Clearance.
- Experience with legacy source code tools (e.g., Clear Case, Synergy, SVN).
- Experience or familiarity with systems and software engineering tools such as MATLAB, Visual Studio, VxWorks/Windriver, Qt, Big Lever Gears, Python, and DOORS.
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Rancher, Tanzu).
- Experience with relational databases and support/troubleshoot data backup, verification, and validation activities (Oracle, SQL Server, InfluxDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- System administration experience in Windows.
Requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance. Security clearance is required after day one of employment.
Benefits & CompensationSalary range: $86,800
USD – $165,200
USD.
