This client is looking for a senior software engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up and influencing both technology strategy and product direction. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to lead the development of a next-generation field technology platform used in real-world operational environments. Based in the greater Boston area, you'll work on modern web, mobile, and cloud technologies while helping shape a product that bridges software, connected devices, and data-driven workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-ownership environment where technical leadership goes hand-in-hand with hands-on development. You'll have significant influence over architecture, engineering standards, and roadmap decisions while collaborating closely with product and engineering stakeholders. Beyond writing code, you'll help establish best practices, mentor engineers, and drive the evolution of a scalable platform used in fast-paced operational settings.

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise developing applications with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience building and deploying production-grade mobile applications
• Proven ability to design scalable cloud-based systems and services
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices
• Experience working with SQL and/or No
  
  SQL databases
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud ecosystems
• Knowledge of image capture, sensor integration, or computer vision applications
• Experience designing applications that function reliably in low-connectivity or offline environments
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or pub/sub frameworks
• Exposure to IoT, robotics, edge computing, or connected hardware platforms
• Experience with in automotive, industrial technology, or field service industries
• Open-source project contributions
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
