Position Summary
Provide customer service through the delivery and/or pick‑up of parts and other products. Unload products from shipping vehicles and store them in the appropriate warehouse area. Support branch warehouse operations. Delivery functions account for about 50% of the time.
Essential Tasks- Pull and organize customer orders for delivery by part number and quantity, following the picking ticket in priority order.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring each order is correct and maintaining professionalism.
- Load materials into the vehicle and install bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Follow company delivery routes to maximize delivery efficiency.
- Pick up all applicable returns and cores, tag them appropriately, and return them to the branch.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle daily and complete an inspection log.
- Maintain a clean vehicle and operate it safely at all times.
- Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Stock and maintain inventory items in designated storage areas.
- Package, label, and ship customer orders via UPS, U.S. Mail, bus, motor freight, and local truck deliveries.
- Operate industrial forklifts to move materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
- Complete annual forklift operator training provided by the Company.
- Verify all load‑related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Check vehicles before driving to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and emptying trash as needed.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage immediately.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following loading crew signals and ensuring correct vehicle positioning.
- Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure safety compliance.
- Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report damage to supervisors.

Handling normal stock includes lifting or carrying parts over 60 lbs 15% of the time; most lifting involves parts between 5 and 60 lbs. Conditions are inside and outside, with varied temperature changes, minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust, and vehicle noise. OSHA‑approved safety‑toed shoes are required from day one. Proper PPE will be worn as required.
QualificationsEducation
:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
Professional Experience
:
Minimum 1 year of general warehouse experience. Forklift operator certification with 1 year of forklift operating experience is highly desired.
Certifications/Licenses
:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
The annualized pay varies by location. Salary range is $15.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
