About our Clients

Our clients lovely Nursery between Reading and Wokingham, are looking for an experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join the team in supporting the daily running of the nursery alongside the Manager. Working a 40 hr week with salary c £33k plus great benefits., including great childcare discounts. This role is initially a maternity cover post.

• Essential for the Role
• A minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)
• A minimum 3 years’ experience leading or supporting a team in a nursery or early years setting
• Has experience of being in a management role, supporting the nursery in the absence of the Manager
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practices
• Support and supervise staff while delivering high-quality care and education across the nursery setting
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within the setting
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff in the nursery setting

• Ideal Candidate
• Passionate about early years education and children’s development within a nursery setting
• Confident leader, able to motivate and support staff and contribute to the management team
• Proactive, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards across the setting
• Promotes best practice, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in the nursery supporting the team on a daily basis
