Unify Renewables, a specialist recruitment agency for the renewables sector, is excited to be recruiting for our client, a top-tier solar solutions provider in the South, known for delivering high-quality solar, battery storage, and EV charging systems. They’re looking for an experienced Solar Electrician who’s fully qualified, loves hands-on work, and is ready to power up their career with a forward-thinking company.

The Role

As a Solar Electrician, you’ll join an established team delivering both commercial and domestic solar installations across the South and beyond. This is a field-based role that offers plenty of variety and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in solar energy. You’ll be responsible for installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of solar systems, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Installations:
Carry out installations of solar PV systems on commercial and residential sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.

* Testing & Inspection:
Perform testing and inspection of installations in line with the 18th Edition and 2391 standards, guaranteeing safety and compliance.

* Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair faults in solar PV systems, providing excellent aftercare and maintenance.

* Documentation:
Keep thorough records of work, including installation details, testing results, and maintenance activities.

* Customer Service:
Interact professionally with clients, providing clear information and assistance on system usage and performance.

What We’re Looking For

* Qualifications:

Fully qualified electrician with an NVQ3 in electrical installations, AM2, 18th Edition and 2391 Test & Inspect certification.

* Experience:

Proven experience in solar PV installations, preferably with a blend of commercial and domestic projects.

Experience with Solar Edge will be well received.

* Knowledge:
Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV chargers is advantageous.

* Field-Based

Skills:

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel across the South (and occasionally further) as required.

* Driver’s License:
Full UK driving license is essential, as you’ll be provided with a company van and fuel card.
