Position: HVAC (Program Coordinator)

Position Summary

As an HVAC Program Coordinator, you'll help students build the skills to succeed in the HVAC industry and combine technical expertise, leadership, and passion for education.

Compensation

$75,000 - $85,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities
  • Teach HVAC courses and provide hands‑on training in classroom and lab settings (minimum 20 teaching hours per week)
  • Manage program operations, including scheduling, inventory, equipment, and classroom resources
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to maintain curriculum quality and student outcomes
  • Share real‑world HVAC knowledge, safety practices, troubleshooting techniques, and industry best practices
  • Help prepare students for licensing, certification, and employment opportunities
Minimum Requirements
  • Current Connecticut S1 or S2 license required (B2 combined with D2 also acceptable)
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a licensed HVAC Technician or similar role (apprenticeship experience not included)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and industry standards
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and support faculty and students
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of classroom teaching experience at the post‑secondary level, not required.
  • 3 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Experience developing training programs, mentoring employees, or leading teams
  • Passion for workforce development and student success
