Step into a meaningful contract opportunity empowering young learners in a K-5 self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program. This role offers the chance to make a direct, positive impact on students’ academic and personal growth by using your expertise in special education within an encouraging and supportive school environment.

In this position, you will design and implement individualized educational plans for elementary-aged students, fostering their unique abilities and helping them achieve important milestones.

Qualifications:
  • Valid special education teaching certification
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained or ASD-focused setting
  • Strong understanding of diverse learning styles and evidence-based instructional approaches
  • Ability to tailor curriculum and behavioral supports to meet each student’s needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and team
  • Organized, flexible, and responsive to changing classroom dynamics
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction to K-5 students in a self-contained ASD program
  • Adapt and differentiate lesson plans to support a variety of learning and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure holistic support
  • Track student progress, conduct ongoing assessments, and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Promote social, emotional, and life skills development in line with students’ IEP goals
