Job Title: Team Leader
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep‑ins: Required – generous remuneration per sleep
Service: Children’s Home
Service users: Children and Young People who have experienced early life trauma, neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours
Qualifications required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience required: Experienced and qualified within a children’s residential setting

Who we are looking forOur client is seeking an experienced Team Leader who is confident in leading shifts and supporting Residential Support Workers to deliver high‑quality care. You will be organised, proactive and committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
Key responsibilities- Planning and leading shifts alongside Residential Support Workers
- Ensuring risks are safely managed in line with policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with the team regarding daily plans
- Producing reports and documentation using paperless systems
- Reviewing care plans and associated documentation
- Providing positive parenting and professional role‑modeling
- Working in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (including Quality Standards)
You must be open‑minded, empathetic and calm in a professional manner, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

Screening criteria- You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car.
- You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent).
- Candidates with only Health Care, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.
- You require sponsorship – no sponsorship available.
- Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home will not be considered.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references prior to employment.
