Consultant Ecologist
£30,000 – £40,000
Wolverhampton
This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Ecologist to work on varied projects across the region, with opportunities to develop your technical skills and professional experience within a supportive team.
The Consultant Ecologist will be involved in:- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and ecological impact assessments
- Protected species surveys, mitigation and licensing
- Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and monitoring
- Habitat and botanical surveys
- Ecological management plans and construction-related ecological support
- Ecological Clerk of Works duties where required
- Supporting clients through planning and development projects
- Flexible working and a strong work/life balance
- Training and professional development opportunities
- Support towards professional accreditation and membership
- A friendly, collaborative working environment
- Varied ecology projects across the region
- Opportunity to work alongside landscape and arboriculture professionals
- Experience working within ecological consultancy
- Relevant ecology, environmental science or related qualification
- Experience with protected species and habitat surveys
- Understanding of BNG, ecological assessment and planning
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Living in Wolverhampton or within a commutable distance of the office
