Job Description As a Core Technician, you will be a key member of our in-house production team. You will create amazing sets and props from technical drawings and take them to site for installation. As part of the core team, you will ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget. You will collaborate with the wider core team to support freelance resources, maintain standards and improve production processes.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate and install sets & props to the highest standard Work from technical drawings and creative documentation Adhere to schedules and briefs Operate CNC Router and 3D Printers Drive company vehicles Maintain an organised and tidy work environment Adhere to Health and Safety policy & procedure Maintain a positive and efficient working environment Represent Norse Sky in a positive a respectful manner Desired Personal Attributes:
Enthusiasm for working in a creative environment, no two days are the same Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to learn new skills and processes Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team A willingness to travel and work onsite
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience as a “hands on” maker Experience in a manufacturing / install environment Demonstrable experience of a compatible core skill:
Carpentry, GRP, Shop fit, install technician, Paint finisher, warehouse operative, festival scenic etc An understanding of H&S requirements and procedures Full UK driving licence and the ability to drive company vehicles Specifics:
Primary place of work, Norse Sky HQ, BD20 7BW
40hrs per week, Monday to Friday 0830 – 1700 Benefits:
