You’ll attend block release training at GTG Training
, a modern facility with industry-standard equipment, where expert trainers will help you develop your technical skills and knowledge.

• Materials, fabrication, tools, and measuring devices used in the commercial vehicle environment
• Inspection of heavy vehicles
• Diagnosing and rectifying chassis units, including pneumatic braking systems
• Diagnosing and rectifying engine, transmission, and electrical system faults
• Commissioning and decommissioning high voltage systems on battery electric vehicles
• Ensuring health and safety standards
• Contributing to workplace housekeeping

To complete the apprenticeship, you must pass Level 2 English and Maths (or have an exemption certificate) and work towards this level before the end‑point assessment.
