Up to £48,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, days

The Role

Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service PSV Technician on behalf of a well-established and highly respected organisation within the commercial vehicle industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PSV or HGV Technician looking to move into a field-based role, offering a strong salary package, Monday to Friday daytime hours and door-to-door working.

You will be responsible for travelling to customer sites across a territory covering Birmingham through to Leeds, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and associated engine systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs at customer sites

* Diagnose mechanical and engine-related faults

* Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard

* Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections

* Provide technical support to customers while on site

* Complete service reports and relevant job documentation

* Work independently across the designated field service territory

* Maintain high standards of health, safety and customer service

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

* Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Commercial Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent

* Previous experience as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, HGV Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician

* Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Full UK driving licence

* Ability to work independently in a field-based role

* Engine experience would be advantageous but is not essential
