Role DescriptionThe Air Conditioning Engineer is responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems for residential and commercial customers. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system faults, performing routine maintenance, completing system upgrades, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with industry standards. The role also involves advising clients on energy-efficient solutions, smart thermostat integration, and best practices for system performance, as well as maintaining accurate service records and documentation.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverhampton, requiring regular travel to customer locations within the region.
- Strong technical skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient systems, smart thermostat integration, and basic HVAC control technologies.
- Understanding of relevant safety regulations, electrical principles, and industry standards for HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service documentation.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Good communication and customer service skills for interacting with residential and commercial clients.
- Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate work records.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical engineering; valid driving license preferred.
