We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a HGV Technician to join their team on night shifts in Wolverhampton. The HGV Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime and optimal fleet performance. Duties:
Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Complete thorough vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards
Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Work independently and efficiently during night shifts, Tuesday to Friday, from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on HGVs
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Class 1 or 2 HGV licence is advantageous
Experience in a main dealership environment is preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid right to work in the UK
