What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support the financial health of our manufacturing business. This role will lead core accounting functions including general ledger management, month‑end close, AP/AR oversight, account reconciliations, and financial reporting while partnering closely with operations and leadership teams. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing accounting experience, a hands‑on leadership style, and the ability to improve processes in a fast‑paced environment.

This position will supervise two direct reports and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, operational visibility, and continuous process improvement across the function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end close process
  • Oversee GL accuracy and reconciliations
  • Supervise AR/AP functions
  • Support inventory and cost accounting activities
  • Partner with operations regarding manufacturing variances and inventory controls
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with audits and financial reporting
  • Improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Support ERP system utilization and reporting accuracy
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff
  • Support strategic finance and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Prior leadership/ supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of:
  • General ledger
  • AP/AR
  • Reconciliations
  • Month‑end close
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Experience partnering closely with operations, supply chain, inventory, and production teams.
Preferred Experience:
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Cost accounting and inventory valuation
  • ERP implementation and optimization
  • Multi‑entity accounting experience
  • CPA or CMA (preferred, not required)
Success in This Role:
  • Delivering accurate and timely month‑end financials
  • Improving accounting processes and internal controls
  • Partnering effectively with operations and leadership
  • Maintaining inventory and cost accounting accuracy
