Position Overview
The North America Controller is a key member of the global controllership team, responsible for leading all accounting and controllership activities supporting Videojet's North America commercial operations. The role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, and drives continuous improvement across accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead month‑end close discipline and consolidations, ensuring timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Own accounting for North America commercial activities (commissions, incentive compensation, payroll-related accounting, sales and marketing accruals, lease accounting).
- Drive accountability for close exceptions, root‑cause correction and remediation.
- Maintain strong balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliation and review processes.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal reporting requirements.
- Support monthly and quarterly management reporting and variance analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external audit support, SOX compliance, and control remediation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate accounting processes.
- Partner with FP&A, operations finance, supply chain, and commercial teams for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA required, MBA a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/controllership or audit experience, preferably in a global manufacturing and public‑company environment.
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, financial consolidations, and SOX compliance.
- Experience leading teams and managing accounting operations in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems such as Oracle, Blackline, and One Stream.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 USD per year (US‑only) with potential bonus pay.
