Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

IFG US is partnering with a well-established privately held manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Controller. This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who enjoys being involved in both strategic finance and day‑to‑day accounting operations.

The company is seeking a finance leader who can grow into a senior executive role over the next few years.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, this individual will play a key role in supporting multiple legal entities while helping modernize financial processes and strengthen internal controls.

• Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple affiliated entities.
• Direct month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and product costing while partnering closely with operations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and provide analysis of business performance and key variances.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and assist with rolling forecasts.
• Monitor profitability, margins, and manufacturing costs through regular reporting and analysis.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Evaluate capital investments and provide financial analysis to support operational decisions.
• Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Assist leadership with special projects and business initiatives as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA designation is a plus.
• Ten or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• At least three years managing accounting personnel.
• Prior experience within a manufacturing environment, inventory accounting and standard or job costing is a plus.
• Experience overseeing accounting for multiple entities or business units.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end close.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Quick Books; experience with manufacturing ERP systems is beneficial.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a lean organization.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
