We are looking for AI Architect. The ideal candidate brings a balanced blend of strategic vision and practical expertise, with a clear understanding of how AI can enhance the developer experience, improve delivery speed, and elevate overall solution quality. This individual will serve as a critical link between business and technology, translating complex AI concepts into actionable strategies and architecture decisions that align with enterprise priorities, value drivers, governance expectations, and risk management standards.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Chicago, IL is $130k - $160k/year & benefits (see below).

Responsibilities:

• Trusted advisor to business and technology leaders on generative AI, machine learning, and enterprise AI architecture.
• Shape enterprise AI strategy, reference architectures, standards, design patterns, and roadmaps.
• Drive scalable, secure, and governed AI adoption aligned to business outcomes
• Identify opportunities for intelligent automation, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled solution design.
• Stay current on emerging AI/ML technologies, model providers, tooling, and market trends
• Partner with development teams to improve developer productivity and software delivery with AI.
• Align AI use cases and architecture decisions with strategic objectives and operating models
• Lead architecture reviews for AI initiatives and support governance through oversight forums
• Define guardrails for responsible AI adoption, including security, privacy, compliance, and model risk.
• Assess AI platforms, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and cloud-native AI services
• Support proofs of concept, pilots, prototypes, and demos to validate capabilities and architecture decisions.
• Promote MLOps, LLMOps, and CI/CD practices for AI-enabled and agentic applications
• Establish metrics to measure AI value, including ROI, productivity, efficiency, and risk reduction.

You are:

• Significant experience in generative AI, machine learning, and enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions, ideally within regulated environments.
• Strong foundation in enterprise architecture with the ability to align AI strategies and technical solutions to business priorities.
• Deep knowledge of AI governance, risk management, regulatory expectations, and implementation of compliant controls.
• Demonstrated success driving AI adoption across cross-functional teams in complex enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with AI architecture frameworks, MLOps practices, and CI/CD approaches for AI and agentic systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in AI, machine learning, cloud architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• Advanced Microsoft Azure cloud certification required.
• Experience with AI governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements, preferably within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
