Procurement Analyst

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join our growing supply chain team. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys working with data, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Procurement Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting purchasing initiatives, managing SKU master data, analyzing purchasing trends, and collaborating with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, reliable supply, and exceptional service. This position offers excellent visibility across Operations, Production, Planning, and Finance while providing opportunities to improve processes and drive cost savings. This role will require you to work 5 days in office.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels and purchasing trends to ensure optimal inventory while minimizing excess stock and shortages.
• Monitor inventory replenishment and partner with Production Planning to support customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain and manage item master data, including SKU creation, updates, product specifications, pricing, and vendor information within the ERP system.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of procurement and inventory data across all systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, serving as a primary point of contact for day-to-day purchasing activities.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and other commercial terms with suppliers to improve overall value.
• Prepare and analyze supplier performance metrics, including delivery, quality, pricing, and service levels.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives by identifying opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
• Review purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies.
• Resolve supplier issues related to shipments, invoices, pricing discrepancies, and product availability.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track purchasing performance, inventory metrics, and procurement KPIs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality, and Sales to support business objectives.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that streamline procurement processes and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory analysis, or sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Packaging, consumer products, food manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Experience maintaining ERP master data and SKU management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Net Suite, or similar.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting inventory planning and demand forecasting.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and inventory optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience utilizing AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to improve reporting, automate analysis, and enhance procurement processes.
