Maintenance Engineer
Join E.M.A. Hospitality to be part of our Engineering team at [Hotel Name] in [City, State]. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will perform preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting across all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure a safe and functional environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
- Perform maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems according to established schedules and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of all activities and report deficiencies to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks by urgency and importance.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, lighting fixtures, water leaks and other mechanical/electrical/plumbing problems.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or equipment servicing as needed.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes and company policies.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste disposal.
- Participate in regular safety training and maintain a safe work environment.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies, tools and equipment, reordering items as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory audits and asset tracking.
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to address maintenance issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate activities.
- Provide assistance and support to other engineering team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management or related field.
- Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
