Industrial Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Overtime Available: Saturdays as needed
Pay: $28-$35+/hour based on experience

Kelly is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our aluminum die casting manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. If you have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on aluminum die casting machines, furnaces, trim presses, and auxiliary equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
Inspect and maintain furnaces, ladles, cooling systems, and die temperature control units.
Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, robotics, and automated production equipment.
Perform welding, fabrication, and machine repairs as needed.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical components.
Maintain plant utility systems including air compressors, cooling towers, and water systems.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they occur.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
Support production teams with equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.
Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment preferred.
Basic welding and fabrication experience.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely perform maintenance tasks around industrial machinery.
Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly preferred:
Aluminum Die Casting
Metal Stamping
Foundry Operations
Automotive Manufacturing
Injection Molding
Heavy Industrial Manufacturing
