Food Production Associate

Juice Rx is hiring multiple dependable, hardworking people for our close-knit production team in Wood Dale. We make cold-pressed juices, plant-based foods, organic vegan goodies, and Chicago Kale Chip Co. products by hand. The work is active and hands-on, but the environment is relaxed, friendly, and team-oriented. We work hard, listen to music, and take pride in making real food that nourishes our communities.

• Wash, inspect, prepare, and organize fresh produce
• Operate juice presses after training and help bottle, cap, label, pack, and organize juices
• Prepare plant-based foods, snacks, and kale chips according to recipes
• Wash dishes and thoroughly clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
• Package orders and keep production organized
• Receive, store, and rotate ingredients and supplies
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, quality, and allergen procedures
• Pitch in wherever the production team needs help

• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work
• Comfortable doing physical, repetitive, hands-on work
• Detail-oriented and proud of producing consistent, high-quality food
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to occasionally move items weighing up to 50 pounds, independently or with team assistance
• Interested in real food, plant-based products, or wellness

Food-production, kitchen, prep, dishwashing, or packaging experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person. Spanish-English bilingual ability is a big plus, but it is not required. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week. The current production schedule is Sunday through Thursday. Sunday is a short morning shift. Monday and Thursday are the longer production days, generally around 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday generally run from about 7:00 a.m. to noon or 2:00 p.m. Team members who prefer an earlier start may begin around 5:00 a.m.;

a 7:00 a.m. start can also be accommodated. As the team grows, daily hours may become more evenly distributed.

• Starting pay is $15.00 per hour
• A performance and wage review is guaranteed after 90 days; any pay increase remains discretionary and is based on reliability, performance, and ability to work independently
