Senior Accountant – Iselin, New Jersey
The Senior Accountant position based in Iselin, New Jersey will primarily focus on month‑end and quarter‑end close duties, completing ad‑hoc financial close projects, and collaborating with various departments to maintain accurate financial records.
Responsibilities- Perform revenue close procedures including revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
- Prepare month‑end expense accruals and maintain detailed schedule of accrued expenses to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct periods
- Work collaboratively with other members of finance to assist in preparing monthly financial package and other management reports
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Complete assigned month and quarter end close journal entries and tasks
- Assist in preparing budgets and reforecasts
- Support external auditor requests
- Identify areas for improvement and update internal policies and process documentation
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as required
This position is only open to candidates residing in New Jersey.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a complex accounting environment
- Expert‑level Excel skills, including extensive experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
