The Accounting Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes
, maintain the company's accrual-based accounting, oversee AP and AR reporting, manage lender reporting requirements, and coordinate closely with external accountants and auditors. - Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the company's accrual-based accounting and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
- Oversee AP and AR reporting and ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Manage and prepare lender certificates and financial reporting required by banking and lending partners.
- Coordinate annual and interim audits, working closely with external auditors and accounting advisors.
- Partner with outside accountants on tax, audit, and other accounting-related matters.
- Review accounting activity and supporting schedules prepared by the accounting team.
- Oversee the reconciliation and reporting process while maintaining strong internal controls.
- Partner closely with the CFO on financial reporting, analysis, and strategic accounting initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve controls, and increase efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement new accounting technologies, automation, and systems to modernize the function.
- Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and processes as the company continues to grow.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and other initiatives led by the CFO.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
, ideally within a privately held company, apparel, Client, consumer products, or another product-driven environment. - Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and GAAP
. - Proven experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Strong financial statement preparation and reporting experience.
- Experience working with external auditors and accounting firms.
- Experience with lender reporting, financial covenants, or lender certificates preferred.
- Strong Excel and accounting systems/ERP experience.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement technology, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and highly organized with the ability to operate independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership.
