Sales Tax Consulting Manager - State and Local Tax; SALT

Responsibilities

• Managing the sales tax compliance process for clients
• Preparing sales tax returns
• Leading sales tax research projects
• Managing information and personnel related to sales tax compliance
• Interacting with clients and supervising staff
• Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
• Managing registrations and business licenses for clients

• 6+ years of experience with sales tax compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field
• CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent designation

• CMI (sales tax) designation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx
• In‑depth understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries, and use tax issues

Preferred location:
Iselin. The position is hybrid.
