Sales Representative – NJ

Our client is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Asphalt & Concrete Sales Representative with a strong working knowledge of asphalt milling and paving, concrete curb and sidewalk construction, elevations, grade changes, slopes, drainage needs, and site conditions that affect project scope and pricing. The ideal candidate understands how paving and concrete projects come together in the field, can recognize customer needs during site visits, and can communicate practical solutions clearly and professionally.

Knowledge of catch basins, drainage structures, and eco hoods is helpful and will support success in evaluating opportunities and serving customers with confidence.

• Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with commercial, municipal, property management, and contractors.
• Conduct site visits to review customer needs, identify project scope, and support accurate estimating for asphalt paving, milling, concrete curb, sidewalk, drainage, and repair work.
• Prepare and present clear proposals, follow up consistently, and help move opportunities from initial contact through close.
• Maintain a customer-driven approach with a strong focus on service, responsiveness, follow-through, and long-term relationship building.
• Communicate effectively with customers, estimators, project managers, field crews, and office staff to ensure expectations are understood and projects are completed successfully.
• Understand basic field conditions including elevations, grade changes, slopes, drainage patterns, catch basins, and related site challenges.
• Represent the company in a respectful, knowledgeable, and professional manner at all times.

• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in asphalt, concrete, construction, site work, property maintenance, or a related field/commercial services.
• Existing book of business or established customer relationships is strongly preferred.
