GPI is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Construction Inspection to lead and expand our construction inspection and construction management practice throughout Central and Northern New Jersey. What You'll Do- Lead construction inspection and construction management assignments for roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Manage and mentor Resident Engineers, construction inspectors, and field staff to ensure project success and professional development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including NJDOT, county agencies, municipalities, and other public-sector stakeholders.
- Direct project planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project performance.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
- Review daily inspection reports, project documentation, contractor schedules, and change order requests.
- Coordinate with contractors, designers, utility companies, and agency representatives to resolve project issues efficiently.
- Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal preparation, interviews, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand GPI's construction management services throughout the New Jersey market.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection, construction management, or transportation project delivery.
- Experience managing NJDOT, county, municipal, or other transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Thorough understanding of roadway, bridge, and transportation construction practices, procedures, and specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and staff simultaneously.
- NICET Certification, EIT, or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver projects while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
