Leading Edge Before & After School Programs is experiencing tremendous growth, and we're excited to expand our partnership with the Woodbridge Township School District for the school year! We are excited to be serving students across the district. We're looking for energetic, dependable, and student-focused Teacher Assistants to join our growing team.

Start Date & TrainingPositions begin in mid to late August 2026 to ensure our team is fully prepared before students arrive.
New team members will participate in paid orientation and training, covering:
- Program expectations and daily operations
- Student engagement and classroom management strategies
- Curriculum implementation
- State licensing and safety requirements
- Behavior guidance and positive youth development
- Leading Edge culture, values, and expectations

Position OverviewLead Teachers play a vital role in creating safe, engaging, and enriching after-school experiences for elementary-aged students throughout Woodbridge Township.
Team members are typically assigned to a consistent school location where they build lasting relationships with students, families, school staff, and fellow educators while leading daily enrichment activities and supporting program operations.
As part of our collaborative leadership culture, Lead Teachers may occasionally assist at another nearby Leading Edge location when operational needs arise. Advance notice will always be provided whenever possible.

Compensation & Schedule Part-Time After-School Position Woodbridge Township, New Jersey$17.00 $ 18.00 per hour (based on education, experience, and qualifications)
Paid biweekly
Monday-Friday (school days)
Typical afternoon schedule based on school assignment & enrollments/attendance
Key Responsibilities- Implement engaging Leading Edge curriculum and enrichment activities
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every student
- Maintain compliance with company policies and New Jersey licensing requirements
- Complete required documentation and administrative responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with students, families, school personnel, and coworkers
- Support daily program operations and teamwork
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios
- Demonstrate professionalism, positivity, and confidentiality
- Perform additional duties that contribute to program success
Leading Edge programs encourage creativity, exploration, movement, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
Each month, our team receives themed curriculum resources and enrichment activities centered around our six core learning labs. Lead Teachers help bring these experiences to life while creating meaningful memories for students every day.
Six Core Labs- Challenge Lab - Critical thinking games and friendly competitions
- Art Enrichment Lab - Creative projects using a variety of artistic mediums
- Homework Lab - Academic support and homework assistance
- Physical Lab - Movement, recreation, and team-building activities
- Reading Lab - Literacy enrichment and reading engagement
- STEM Lab - Hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math exploration
- 1 year of verifiable experience working with school-aged children
- Availability during assigned program hours Monday through Friday
