We are seeking an Engineering Manager who is hands‑on, people‑focused, and passionate about maintaining a hotel that operates at the highest standards. This role is ideal for a leader who takes ownership, develops their team, and thrives in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Engineering & Maintenance team
• Oversee all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs
• Respond to maintenance issues and emergencies promptly and effectively
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety regulations, and local/state codes
• Manage work orders, vendor relationships, and service contracts
• Support inspections, audits, renovations, and capital projects
• Control departmental budget, purchasing, inventory, and energy‑efficiency initiatives
• Partner with Rooms, F&B, and Hotel Leadership to support a seamless guest experience

• 3+ years of hotel engineering or facilities leadership experience
• Marriott or branded hotel experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems
• Proven leadership ability with a hands‑on, solutions‑driven approach
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexible schedule, including availability for emergencies as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a two‑year college degree and three or more years of related experience; or a four‑year college degree and at least two years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certification as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (i.e., HVAC, pool operation, electrical), property specific.
• Current certification and licensing to operate and repair the hotel’s boilers and chillers as required by state, city, and local legislation.
• Current Fire Life Safety Directors certification required, building specific certificate due within 6 months of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high‑pressure situations.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
