Overview
Apex Companies is seeking an Industrial Hygienist – Scientist II to join our Iselin, NJ office. This field-heavy role blends traditional industrial hygiene and building sciences work, with responsibilities spanning exposure monitoring, environmental sampling, and indoor environmental quality assessments across various project sites.
Responsibilities- Conduct personal exposure monitoring and noise dosimetry
- Assist with development of personal exposure sampling plans
- Collect noise, water, air, and/or building material samples
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data
- Air Monitoring
- Building Materials Sampling
- Water Intrusion and Mold Assessments
- Visible suspect biological growth assessments
- Lead-Based Paint Inspections
- Lead sampling
- Clearance testing
- Assist with project oversight
- Mentor and train project staff
- Actively develop your own career growth
- BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field
- At least 2+ years of proven technical experience
- Experience with industrial hygiene (personal exposure monitoring/noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling)
- Asbestos, lead and/or mold inspector certifications, preferred
- Additional EHS certifications/licensures or interest in pursuing additional qualifications highly desired
