We are looking for a Project Manager‑Tax (Research Tax Credit), and this is a hybrid position located in Iselin, NJ.
You’ll make an impact by:- Manage and execute all aspects of the annual Federal and State Research Tax Credit (RTC) process for the Siemens U.S. Controlled Group.
- Prepare various State Research Tax Credit calculations (e.g., CA, GA, IL, NJ, MA) and coordinate review with State Tax Counsel.
- Lead the annual rollout and administration of the third‑party web‑based software tool used to gather project questionnaire data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on IRC 41, including analysis of proposed and enacted legislation and its impact on Siemens.
- Assist in Federal and State tax examinations, including preparing responses and presenting information to tax authorities when needed.
- Coordinate with divested entities to ensure accurate and complete information transfer.
- Train and integrate newly acquired entities to ensure RTC data is collected according to Siemens’ established procedures.
- Communicate effectively—both orally and in writing—with Siemens operating companies' financial contacts, technical experts, and external vendors.
- Coordinate activities of Siemens off‑site tax personnel involved in RTC work and related tax planning initiatives.
- Identify and research IRC 41 issues using online tax resources.
- Provide quarterly updates for the Tax Provision process.
- Support other IRS audit matters or tax issues as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 4 years of tax compliance experience in public accounting or a large corporate tax department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- CPA is preferred.
- Master’s in Tax is preferred.
- Experience with Corptax Software, SAP, Adobe Acrobat, analytical tools like Alteryx, Power Query, and dashboard tools like Tableau.
- Prior Research Tax Credit experience strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to learn emerging technologies and apply them to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

- The pay range for this position is $89,821-$153,979, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
